COMBO-RATE® Stacking Nozzle Bodies

COMBO-RATE® (CR) patented nozzle bodies are the only stackable/modular and configurable nozzle bodies that can spray independently of each other.

Combo-Rate® II (CRII) Nozzle Bodies [Bottom Fed Inlet]

COMBO-RATE® II stacking nozzle are a new design, which include having the nozzle bodies attach to the boom with a bottom (or top*) fed inlet. Notably, this allows for nozzle bodies to be stackable both forward and backward off of a boom. (as well as having an outlet directly under the boom)
When paired with Wilger’s shut-off modules, it creates a versatile nozzle body system that is limitless in configurations.
Ranging from simple configurations of using multiple spray tips at the same time, to operating three sets of nozzles on air actuated lines that can change flow rates and tips from within the cab.
CRII saddles can be mounted with the inlet in the bottom (typical), OR they can be mounted with the boom pipe rotated so the inlet is facing upwards.
You might ask why?
Consider having each nozzle body (with slotted inlets) pulling every last bit of air out of your boom pipes. This is by far the best and most passively acting air removal system available for booms.
As boom pipes are never exactly level, air gets trapped easily down the length of the pipe, which can cause significant spray run-on, which wastes money and can cause crop damage [on top of environmental contamination].

Combo-Rate® Nozzle Bodies & Saddles [Side Fed Inlet]

COMBO-RATE® stacking nozzle bodies attach to a boom with a side-fed saddle body, and can be stacked with a variety of nozzle bodies/outlets to configure a boom for any spray application.
When paired with Wilger’s shut-off modules, it creates a versatile nozzle body system that is limitless in configurations.
Ranging from simple configurations of using multiple spray tips at the same time, to operating three sets of nozzles on air actuated lines that can change flow rates and tips from within the cab.

The Benefits of Combo-Rate® Nozzle Bodies

Slotted Inlet for Debris Cleanout

ALL CRII nozzle bodies have a slotted inlet, providing the ultimate boom draining capabilities, as the slots go all the way down to even the thinnest boom pipe, which leaves less chemical residue or debris to sit in the bottom of the boom.

High Flow
Inlet Sizes

Combo-Rate® nozzle bodies have options for larger inlet feeds for sprayers that require higher flow rates than standard 3/8″ inlets can provide.
9/16″ & 21/32″ inlet sizes are available in most nozzle bodies.

Improved Hinged Clamp

1″ Combo-Rate® II nozzle bodies have a Hi-Lo screwed hinge clamp, available in smooth and bolt mount options, for easy installation.
The Hi-Lo screw replaces a standard nut & bolt clamp, which is prone to galling.

Multi-Tip
Spraying

With the stacking nozzle body feature, you can spray with more than one tip at the same time.
Multi-tip application can be extremely useful to improving coverage and penetration for coverage sensitive applications.
Using multiple tips spraying straight down can outperform angled split tips when it comes to penetrating dense canopies and crops.

KWIKSTOP™ Raised Inlets

KWIKSTOP™ inlets passively remove air that is trapped in the top of a boom, significantly reducing spray run-on.

Webbed Inlet Feed

1″ CRII nozzle bodies with standard 3/8″ inlets have a webbed inlet, providing a much stronger inlet to resist any damage that comes with spraying.

1/2″ & 1″ Sizes

Combo-Rate® nozzle bodies and saddles are available for both 1/2″ and 1″ boom pipe sizes. Both sizes are available in One-Way and Two-Way stacking bodies.

Stacking Design

All Combo-Rate® nozzle bodies can stack infinitely.
This makes CRII nozzle bodies the preferred choice for PWM sprayer systems (i.e. Capstan Sharpshooter®, Case AimCommand®, Raven Hawkeye®), as you can spray with both PWM and standard outlets at the same time.

Diaphragm Check Valve & Shut-off Options for COMBO-RATE® Nozzle Bodies

Diaphragm check valve

Available in 4PSI, 10PSI (standard) and 15PSI versions
Fairprene diaphragms standard. VITON® diaphragms available.

Manual ON/OFF
check valve

When ‘ON’, it acts as a 10PSI* check valve.
When ‘OFF’, it turns off the flow completely to that body (*4PSI/10PSI/15PSI options are available)
Fairprene diaphragms standard. VITON® diaphragms available.

Air-Off check valve

Acts as a standard diaphragm check valve, but when an attached air line is charged, it will turn OFF the flow to that body.
Fairprene diaphragms standard. VITON® diaphragms available.

Open thread option

Sharing the same thread as all COMBO-RATE® modules, the open thread is compatible with PWM or other precision ag systems.
